Author Guidelines

1. Introduction

The International Journal of Intelligent Systems, Mechanics and Energy (IJISME) publishes original research contributions, review articles, and technical reports in the interdisciplinary fields of intelligent systems, mechanical engineering, and energy technologies.

Authors are encouraged to submit high-quality manuscripts that contribute to theoretical development, numerical modeling, experimental studies, and practical engineering applications.

Before submission, authors must ensure that their manuscript complies with the journal’s formatting, ethical, and scientific standards.

2. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following categories of articles:

Original Research Articles

Full-length papers presenting novel research results, methodologies, and engineering applications.

Review Articles

Comprehensive and critical evaluations of existing literature in a specific research field.

Short Communications

Brief reports describing significant new findings or preliminary results.

Technical Notes

Short articles describing innovative techniques, algorithms, or experimental methods.

Special Issue Papers

Articles submitted to special thematic issues organized by guest editors.

3. Manuscript Preparation

Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear and professional English.

Authors whose native language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscript proofread by a professional language editor before submission.

Manuscript Length

Typical manuscript length:

  • Research Articles: 6,000 – 10,000 words

  • Review Articles: 8,000 – 12,000 words

  • Short Communications: 3,000 – 4,000 words

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

  1. Title

  2. Author Names and Affiliations

  3. Abstract

  4. Keywords

  5. Introduction

  6. Literature Review (optional)

  7. Methodology / Materials and Methods

  8. Results

  9. Discussion

  10. Conclusion

  11. Acknowledgments (optional)

  12. Conflict of Interest Statement

  13. References

4. Title Page

The title page should include:

  • Full article title

  • Author names

  • Institutional affiliations

  • Corresponding author email

  • ORCID identifiers (recommended)

The title should be concise, informative, and descriptive of the study.

5. Abstract

The abstract should summarize the research clearly and concisely.

Recommended length: 150–250 words.

The abstract should include:

  • Research objective

  • Methodology

  • Key results

  • Main conclusions

The abstract should not contain references or equations.

6. Keywords

Authors should provide 4–6 keywords that represent the main topics of the manuscript.

Keywords should help indexing and searchability.

Example:

Artificial Intelligence, Computational Mechanics, Renewable Energy, Numerical Simulation.

7. Figures and Tables

Figures

  • Figures must be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi).

  • Each figure must have a number and caption.

  • Figures should be cited in the text.

Example:

Figure 2. Temperature distribution in the thermal system.

Tables

Tables must be:

  • Clearly formatted

  • Numbered consecutively

  • Cited in the text

Example:

Table 1. Mechanical properties of the tested materials.

8. Equations

Mathematical equations should be clearly formatted and numbered sequentially.

Example:

Equation (1)

Authors should define all variables used in equations.

9. Units and Symbols

Authors should use the International System of Units (SI).

Symbols and abbreviations must be defined at their first occurrence in the manuscript.

10. References

The journal uses a numbered citation style.

References should appear in the text as numbers in brackets.

Example:

Recent studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of intelligent optimization methods [1].

All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript.

12. Plagiarism Screening

All submissions are checked using plagiarism detection software.

Manuscripts with excessive similarity may be rejected or returned for revision.

Authors must properly cite all sources.

13. Conflict of Interest

Authors must declare any financial or personal relationships that could influence the research.

If no conflict exists, authors should state:

“No conflict of interest is declared by the authors.”

14. Acknowledgments

Authors may acknowledge:

  • Funding agencies

  • Institutional support
